Reuland and Trilex
In 2025 Reuland Electric sold its flexible coupling inventory to a small group of distributors, including Jealco, and transferred the drawings and manufacturing rights to Trilex Fluid Power, which now makes the RC line. Jealco distributes Trilex, so the same couplings remain available.

Reuland brakes
Reuland also builds standalone spring-set magnetic disc brakes — fail-safe brakes that stop and hold a load the moment power is removed. Mount one to a Reuland motor, or to another maker’s motor with the X series, without changing the motor. (Different from the brake motors above, which have the brake built in.)

In 2025 Reuland Electric sold its flexible coupling inventory to a small group of distributors, including Jealco, and transferred the drawings and manufacturing rights to Trilex Fluid Power, which now makes the RC line. We still have original Reuland stock and also supply Trilex couplings to the same design and specifications, so the fit and performance are the same; only the name on the part may differ.

Send a clear photo of the nameplate. Many Reuland motors are specialty or built-to-order units, and the nameplate identifies the exact motor so we can quote the right replacement.

What is the difference between a Reuland brake motor and a Reuland brake?
A brake motor has the brake built into the motor. A standalone Reuland brake is a separate spring-set unit you mount to a motor or machine, which lets you add braking to an existing motor, including non-Reuland motors using the X series.
Can I add a Reuland brake to a motor I already have?
Yes. Reuland’s spring-set brakes mount to a NEMA C-face or shaft, and the X series is made to fit non-Reuland motors, so you can add braking without replacing the motor. Send the motor frame or C-face size and the holding torque you need and we will match one.
