Size to the heaviest load you will actually move, not the average, and leave headroom. Most warehouse work is covered by a standard 5,500 lb truck, which is what the majority of the lines we carry are rated at. Above that, Raymond runs to 8,000 lbs and Wesco to 11,000 lbs. If you are routinely near the top of a truck's rating, move up a class — running a pump at its limit every day is what wears it out.
