We source across brands rather than being tied to one catalog — which is exactly what makes cross-referencing and replacement sourcing possible. Is Jealco an authorized distributor?
For a few lines, yes: Jealco is an authorized distributor for Pi Tape, Tapco and Ampco. For the hundreds of other manufacturers we supply, we are an independent distributor and exporter, which lets us cross-reference and source across brands rather than being tied to one catalog.
Can you supply a brand you are not authorized for?
Yes. As an independent distributor we source across manufacturers, including brands we are not an authorized distributor for, and we cross-reference to an equivalent when a part is obsolete or hard to find. Send us the part number, nameplate photo or sample and we will source or match it.
What is the difference between an authorized and an independent distributor?
An authorized distributor is recognized by the manufacturer to sell that brand. An independent distributor sources across many manufacturers and is not tied to a single catalog. Jealco is authorized for Pi Tape, Tapco and Ampco, and an independent source for the rest — which is an advantage when you need cross-brand sourcing or a replacement for a discontinued part.
Do you handle obsolete or discontinued parts?
Yes. Sourcing obsolete and hard-to-find industrial components, and cross-referencing them to a current equivalent across manufacturers, is a core part of what an independent distributor does. Send the old part number or a nameplate photo and we will identify a replacement.
